These are the five shapes/patterns for major scale on guitar based off the CAGED System.
1 (E Shape)

2 (D Shape)

3 (C Shape)

4 (A Shape)

5 (G Shape)

PRACTICE TIPS
Pick a key.
Locate the note on a string.
Overlay the pattern with the 'R' falling on the note of a chosen key.
Play pattern up and down then pick another key.
Practice ONE shape a day and spend 2mins learning the pattern and moving it around to different keys.
